Attention all WHS Students you MUST have your Student ID with you to enter all athletic events, if you do not have your ID to show at the gate, you will be charged as an adult $6.00. All Elementary students need to be accompanied by an adult or you will not be allowed entrance. ALL STUDENTS NEED TO PRESENT THEIR SCHOOL ID or may be turned away at the gate.


The After School Program is sponsoring a trip to CSU Fresno this coming Saturday Oct. 21st. Students will be taken on a tour of the college campus and then watch a college volleyball game. There is limited seats available, so if you are interested, please stop by the office for a permission form and registration packet. All forms can be turned in at the Tiger’s Den(RM 10) and are due to by Friday Oct. 20th. Please let me know if you have any questions. –Mr. Rodriguez

Woodlake Family Resource Center is looking for volunteers for community service hours at their agency, Monday through Friday afterschool or whatever fits the students schedule 8am to 4:30pm. for any questions please call Mr.G at 564-5212


History after school tutorials will be today from 3:20-4:20 in room 42 with Mrs. Sanchez.

We are firing up the BBQ again…..HS is our first stop.  Please note Tues, Oct 24 Nutrition Services will be providing BBQ’d hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers for lunch.  Instead of setting up the line outside for students to que up in we will serve, as usual, in the Quad area and Main Café. 

As always, students eat at no cost and adults are $3.75 each

Community Service



The Three Rivers School is preparing for the Annual Halloween Carnival. They are looking for volunteers to do community service hours. The school carnival will be held on Saturday, October 28th, from 4 PM – 8 PM.  Shifts that evening are 1 hour each (or you can volunteer for more than 1 hour!)  They are also looking for volunteers to help with setting up on Friday, Oct. 27th, after school & on Saturday morning, or you can help clean up on Sunday morning.  If you are interested in helping, please leave your phone number and email with Mr. Campe (WHS teacher-Room 5) and someone will get back to you. Your help is much appreciated.


Attention all Students: Your help is needed for the H.O.W. Dinner (Helping One Woman dinner), on Tuesday, October 17th. Please report to the Woodlake Plaza (across from the city park) at 3:45 PM to help in setting up tables/chairs, serving dinner, or cleaning up; taking down tables/chairs.  Your help is much appreciated by Mrs. Macias, the H.O.W. event organizer. This program helps one woman at a time who is going through a hardship (due to illness, loss of loved one etc).  THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!



The 2018 CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award application is now available to college-bound seniors whose academic and athletic careers have been truly exemplary and whose standards (i.e., integrity, honesty, etc.) and accomplishments are a positive model. Applicant must possess no less than a 3.5 unweighted GPA and have demonstrated superior athletic ability and played two years of varsity play within California and participating in athletics as a senior and most importantly have portrayed themselves as athletes of character displaying trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, community service and citizenship . Pick up an application in the Counseling Office or visit www.cifstateorg to download an application. Deadline/Postmark no later than February 12, 2018

Seniors: The COS Foundation Scholarship Application is now available. If you will be attending COS in the Fall of 2018, you are encouraged to apply!  This online application will access hundreds of scholarships opportunities. Don’t delay apply at: cos.edu/scholarships.  All incoming high school students without a COS Banner ID will create an account and login on subsequent site visits via Scholarship Manager. Deadline November 27, 2017.


Tulare County Dairywomen Scholarship Information

Seniors apply if you meet the criteria.  This application has been previously emailed to you.  Deadline March 1, 2018.


  1. The Tulare County Dairy Children Scholarship is awarding scholarships to seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

A parent must be currently employed on a diary; children of dairy owners are not eligible.


(2) The Tulare County Dairy Women Scholarship is for students interested in a career goal related to the agriculture industry. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.



The Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship Program seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming personal adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society.   Eligibility: Be enrolled full-time as a high school senior, have a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution located in the United States (students may start their studies at a 2-year college and then transfer to a 4-year college/university); demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required), involvement in co-curricular and community activities; maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and be a USA citizen.   Apply online at scholars.horatioalger.org.   Deadline October 25, 2017
