Attention Seniors – Graduate Services will be here at Brunch today in room 10, they will be delivering your non-cap and gown items, invitations, mugs and other items you may have ordered.


ATTENTION SENIORS- If you have any outstanding bills, unserved Saturday schools, or overdue fines/books from the library you need to start making arrangements to clear all those bills now. If you are not cleared you will not be able to participate in the end of the year senior activities i.e., senior picnic, GradNite – DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE  

Seniors if you have any outstanding bills see Mari for payment arrangements.  






We invite all our students to participate in the 2nd Annual HeART Chalk Festival.  This event will take place during the STEP Up Event near the Woodlake Plaza.

Attn: Juniors with a GPA of 2.9+ or better!  You have an opportunity to apply and complete the Rotary Club application for Camp Royal 2017. The Rotarians are looking to send female and male students from the class of 2018 to Camp Royal located in Sequoia Lake’s YMCA CAMPS near Miramonte, CA.  Pick up a paper application in counseling and return it to the counseling office before the April 28th deadline!


Camp Royal candidates exhibit the following: Demonstrates leadership ability, GPA 2.75 or higher, involved in extra-curricular activities, and have a strong work ethic.


The entire cost of this trip is paid fully by the Rotary Club.

Community Service Opportunities


Community Service Opportunity – Woodlake Lions Club

We need student to help in the BBQ booth during the Rodeo, sign up with Christy in the office. The Rodeo is May 13th & 14th .


Castle Rock Elementary is in need of 10-12 high school students for the Rodeo Parade on May 13th.  It will be for the Pathway to Literacy Group.  They need students to walk in the parade with the group, pulling wagons and handing out books to kids. If interested please sign up in counseling.



Any senior interested in a pharmacy or pharmacy tech career see Mrs. Pena for an great program opportunity this summer!


Seniors apply now for Graduating with Honors. Pick up the Graduating with Honors form in Counseling before school or after school.

To qualify you must have met the following criteria:

Completed all prescribed (A - G) courses in grades 9th -12th.

-  Received no more than 4 semester grades of a C in the prescribed course of study, original grades only.

-  Received a grade of C or higher in all courses, grades 9th -12th  (no D’s or F’s in any course.)


Summer school applications only available brunch, lunch & before & after school. DO NOT SEND DURING CLASS TIME.


Attention students: The first 15 ladies that buy their prom ticket will be put in raffle for a free Pedicure by Ms. Deliah at Dazzle Me D’s. Buy your ticket early!


The Tulare County Farm Bureau is seeking applicants for its 33rd Youth Leadership class. If you will be entering high school as a junior in the 2017-2018 academic school year then you can apply for this all-expense paid eight month program designed to open doors to new experiences for while providing personal, educational and leadership opportunities. Trips include overnight trips to Cal Poly SLO, tours of the State Capitol, UC Davis College of Ag and Natural Resources, California Farm Bureau and more! See counseling for an application or apply online at www.tulcofb.org.  You do not have to have any connection with Ag, but students with potential leadership qualities are encouraged to take full advantage of this program.  TCFB hopes to have two (2) students from each Tulare County high school participate in the Youth Leadership Class.  Deadline May 1, 2017.


Students are not to come to the counseling office during class time to pick up forms (scholarship, or other misc forms), that can be done before school, after school, brunch and lunch. Counseling will gladly help you at that time.



WHS Track pictures are scheduled for May 1 at 3:30pm. Pictures will not be rescheduled. Bring uniforms.

Seniors if you will be attending a community college or technical school in the Fall of 2017, then apply for the Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship Program. Applicants must meet the following criteria: (1) have completed the FAFSA application, (2) are Pell-eligible, (3) have a commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical certificate/degree, and (4) are a US citizen. 1,020 scholarships will be awarded with a maximum award of $2,500. Apply now online at: application.horatioalger.org. Priority deadline is June 15, 2017.


The William M. Maguy Scholarship application and requirements for 2017–2018 is now available in memory of Proteus’s long serving CEO, this $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a community-minded individual seeking a career in the Social Service field. Minimum GPA 3.0, and Social Service fields include but are not limited to: Political science, Religious Studies, Liberal Arts,  Communications, Urban studies, Sociology and Public Administration. Please complete the online fillable application that was emailed to seniors and apply before the deadline.  Deadline April 28, 2017.


 1 "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college.  Interested students can visit this link www.fashion-schools.org and find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page and click on it.

2. “Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program.  This scholarship is available at AnimationCareerReview.com. Seniors have the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship.  This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. 3. "Aspiring Business Professional" Scholarship.
